This section is just for me to write a little about myself, the face behind the site, so to speak. I can also showcase my amateur attempts at "art & design", and talk about my other hobbies, amongst other things. So, on with the introduction...!

A Little Bit of Esme...

I'm a graduate twice over but have not yet managed to get a job in my field, which is a little frustrating to say the least. That said, I've never been sure what I wanted to do in life, so I feel like I'm just coasting along until something (hopefully) comes along that really strikes a chord.

I live in the UK with my boyfriend of 7 years (feels like so much longer!), though I would love to travel and see more of the world. I've only been abroad on field trips and they weren't exactly exotic. Well, maybe Iceland was! However, for the time being I'm stuck here so might as well make the most of it.

Webdesign is obliviously one of my hobbies. I've had this site for quite some time now, and slowly my skills are slowly getting better the more I dabble, but it's not easy. I admit that a lot of my time is spent trying to wrestle Dreamweaver into doing something I want, rather than what it thinks I should do! Heh.

Other than that my major hobbies are reading (Fantasy and Science Fiction) and Gaming.

Gaming has been part of my life since I was about 4 years old when I used to play games on the BBC Micro, and basically I never looked back. At the moment I'm a PC, 360, PS3 and PSP gamer, though I loved the older consoles (think Sega Master System and SNES) back then.

I've always been an avid reader, but to be honest I rarely stray outside of FSF books. My house is a little bit like a mini Waterstones in that genre. I guess there's something I love about being transported to other worlds. Maybe I'm just an escapist at heart?!

As well as computers, I also love tabletop gaming, whether that's old fashioned board games like scrabble and chess, or creations of Games Workshop such as Talisman, Dungeon Quest and Warhammer.

I'm also a fan of the arts. I've played piano since I was a little girl, and I picked up the clarinet when I was in high school. I'm also a dabbler in art since my GCSE days, though I don't get as much time as I'd like. I focus very much on traditional mediums such as pencil crayon and watercolour, though when I was in school, acyrilic was my prefered style. These days, I'm getting more into the textile and fashion side of things. I'd love to go on a clothes design/fashion course and learn how to make stuff properly. At the moment I just plod along with the skills I gained from GCSE Textiles!
